NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – Two people were killed, and two others were injured in a shooting in Newark, New Jersey, law enforcement officials reported.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on Clinton Avenue near South 17th Street in the city’s South Ward. Authorities confirmed that the two fatalities resulted from gunfire, while the two injured victims sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said an investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and further details have not yet been released.
