Spectators at a Tennessee Christmas parade got an unexpected visitor when a black bear wandered onto the parade route.
Amanda Snook-Paige shared photos showing the bear strolling along Gatlinburg’s 50th annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade.
It’s unclear how far the bear traveled down the route, but another witness recorded video of what may have been the same animal rummaging through trash after the parade ended.
Snook-Paige joked on social media that the bear was such a crowd favorite that parade organizers “should’ve made him the grand marshal.”
