Marcus Morris Sr., a veteran NBA player, was arrested Sunday in Broward County, Florida, on a fraud charge, according to online booking records. The 13-year power forward, who played college basketball at the University of Kansas, was taken into custody without showing any expression in his mug shot, released by Florida authorities.
Morris was drafted 14th overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets and has played for several teams during his career, including the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers. Over 832 games, he averaged 12 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Morris has previously faced legal issues, including entering a diversion program for a 2012 battery charge and being acquitted of assault charges related to a 2015 incident. Authorities have not yet provided additional details about the current fraud charge.
