A Lady Gaga concert in Sydney was briefly halted after one of her dancers slipped and fell off the stage during a performance at Accor Stadium. The incident occurred as rain made the stage surface slick, causing dancer Michael Dameski to slide, overshoot the edge, and tumble off. Gaga immediately signaled for the music to stop and addressed the crowd, reassuring fans that there had been an accident but that everything was under control as she checked to make sure the dancer was not seriously hurt.
The pause lasted several minutes as Gaga ensured the safety of her performers, including making sure the dancers had proper grip on their footwear before continuing. Dameski later reassured fans that he was unharmed and able to finish the show, marking the final performance of the year. The concert was part of Gaga’s Mayhem Ball Tour in support of her sixth studio album, Mayhem, which began in Las Vegas and has traveled across North America and Europe, with additional dates planned in Japan after the new year. The album has earned multiple Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, alongside recognition for her soundtrack work on Joker: Folie à Deux.
