Suzanna’s Kitchen, a Georgia-based company, is recalling more than 60,000 pounds of fully cooked, bone-in, breaded chicken due to an undeclared allergen. Approximately 62,550 pounds of the chicken products were mislabeled and contained soy, which is not listed on the packaging, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The affected chicken was shipped to restaurant locations across the United States. The issue was discovered after the company realized that a product containing soy had been labeled with a code for a non-allergen-containing item. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported so far. The recalled products include 8-piece, bone-in breaded chicken portions produced on Oct. 16, 2025, packaged in 18-pound cases containing four units of “FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS.” The items are marked with the case code “P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04” and bear the USDA inspection mark under number P-1380.
FSIS is advising restaurants to inspect their freezers and refrigerators for the recalled products and to dispose of any affected chicken instead of serving it. Consumers with questions can contact Suzanna’s Kitchen’s customer service director at dduncan@suzannakitchen.com, and anyone concerned about potential health issues should consult their healthcare provider.
