HydroJug is recalling 17,000 children’s tumblers after reports that the handles can loosen, creating a potential choking hazard. The recall affects 14-ounce Children’s Sports Tumblers, with rivets on the handle that may detach.
The tumblers can be identified by serial number 235010 or by having no serial number on the bottom under the rubber boot. They were sold in five designs: Cowgirl, Daisy, Checkers, Dinosaur, Sport, and Bows. More than 650 reports of loose handles have been received, though no injuries have been reported.
The tumblers were sold at retailers including Academy Sports, Scheels, Combined Sales Company, Gordons Ace Hardware, Bucks Ace, Kents Grocery, Basin Sports, and online through Hydrojug.com, Amazon.com, Well.ca, and iHerb.com between May 2024 and June 2025, with a retail price of approximately $25. The recall is listed under number 26-129.
Consumers are advised to stop using the tumblers immediately and contact HydroJug for a free replacement lid. To request a replacement, customers should email service@thehydrojug.com with order information, shipping address, and photos of the bottom of the tumbler showing the serial number or lack thereof. HydroJug will also request photos of the tumbler marked with the word “Recalled” and instructions to dispose of the lid. Once eligibility is confirmed, HydroJug will provide a replacement lid to consumers.
