AMC Entertainment announced on Thursday that Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron will continue in his role after experiencing a minor stroke last month.
Aron, 71, suffered a stroke on November 17 in London but has returned to full-time work since his hospital release. He has resumed his responsibilities as chairman, CEO, and president, with no reported impact on his cognitive abilities, memory, or capacity to handle complex tasks.
The company noted that Aron initially experienced slurred speech and has begun speech therapy, with a full recovery expected. He recently returned to the United States to attend the world premiere of James Cameron’s “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles. AMC stated the detailed update was intended to prevent speculation during his public and private appearances and indicated that it does not plan to provide further comments on his recovery.
