Apple TV+ has renewed its British mystery series Down Cemetery Road for a second season.
The show, inspired by characters created by Mick Herron, stars Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson as modern-day private detectives navigating complex cases.
Thompson, who also serves as executive producer, expressed excitement over the renewal. She praised co-star Wilson and writer Morwenna Banks, noting the joy of returning to the series and reprising her role as Zoë Boehm. “Zoë Boehm is a punkishly delicious avatar, and I can’t wait to pull on her knock-off Doc Martens again,” Thompson said.
The upcoming season will follow Zoë and Sarah as they investigate a serial killer, continuing the suspenseful and character-driven storytelling that captivated audiences in the first season. Mick Herron, who also created Slow Horses, remains involved in shaping the series’ narrative.
