CBS has announced that its new dramas Boston Blue and Fire Country will return for second seasons.
“Both Friday night series quickly became fan favorites, with viewers embracing Boston Blue and Fire Country on broadcast and streaming platforms,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “These early renewals highlight the strength of character-driven storytelling, engaging narratives, and the outstanding talent both in front of and behind the camera that make these shows exceptional.”
Boston Blue is a spin-off of Blue Bloods, featuring Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green in leading roles. Fire Country stars Morena Baccarin as a small-town California law enforcement officer, with Matt Lauria, W. Earl Brown, Christopher Gorham, and Michele Weaver rounding out the main cast.
