The College Football Playoff has finalized its 12-team bracket and broadcast schedule, with undefeated Indiana Hoosiers claiming the No. 1 seed. Indiana captured its first Big Ten championship since 1945 with a 13-10 victory over Ohio State, earning a first-round bye. Following the Hoosiers, the No. 2, 3, and 4 seeds are Ohio State, Georgia, and Texas Tech, respectively. First-round matchups will take place at the higher-seeded teams’ campus stadiums.
The playoff begins with four first-round games on Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20, before moving to the quarterfinals on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Winners will advance to the semifinals on January 8-9, with the national championship set for Monday, January 20, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. First-round matchups include No. 9 Alabama vs. No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 10 Miami vs. No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 11 Tulane vs. No. 6 Ole Miss, and No. 12 James Madison vs. No. 5 Oregon. Quarterfinals will feature the Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Sugar Bowl, followed by the Fiesta Bowl and Peach Bowl as semifinals, culminating in the CFP National Championship. All games will be broadcast on ESPN, with select first-round games on ABC and TNT/truTV.
