Vevor has recalled its ice crushers after reports of at least two units experiencing “thermal events” and one unit catching fire.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said approximately 11,650 units were sold across the United States and 1,060 in Canada between July 2021 and July 2025. The ice crushers were available in blue, white, silver, red, and yellow, and sold online through Vevor.com, Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Home Depot, and Lowe’s for prices ranging from $40 to $86.
The recalled products, marketed as Ice Shavers, Ice Crushers, and Snow Cone Makers, include models BY-300 and BY-300FS. Both the brand name “Vevor” and the model number appear on a label on the top of the machine.
Customers who own one of the recalled ice crushers are urged to stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer, Sanven, by emailing a photo of the unit with the unplugged power cord cut in half to recalling@vevor.com. Refunds will be provided.
The ice crusher operates by feeding ice into a chute, where a cutter inside shaves or crushes the ice.
