The blast caused damage to nearby businesses, including a Courtyard Marriott and an Old Navy store, according to the Lewiston Fire Department and Lewiston Police Department.
Preliminary reports indicate the truck was carrying stored items, including flammable materials such as gasoline and propane tanks.
Lewiston Fire Marshal Julian Sorrell said investigators currently have no reason to believe the explosion was criminal in nature.
Officials also noted that no fire broke out following the blast. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
