Oreo is introducing zero-sugar cookies to the U.S. market for the first time, offering both regular and “double stuf” varieties as permanent additions to its lineup. The cookies will hit shelves nationwide in January 2026, following previous launches in Europe and China.

Unlike typical Oreos, the zero sugar version avoids aspartame and is sweetened with a blend of maltitol, polydextrose, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium. Packaging also differs: the cookies come in a stand-up bag with individually wrapped two-cookie packs instead of the standard plastic-tray container. The cookies feature a subtle design change, with “zero sugar” printed on each cookie. Pre-orders are currently available on Oreo’s website for $5.29 per 20-cookie package, and customers can sign up for notifications when they become widely available. The development of the zero-sugar Oreo took approximately four years.

The full ingredient list for the regular Zero Sugar Oreo includes: unbleached enriched flour, maltitol, canola and palm oils, polydextrose, cornstarch, cocoa processed with alkali, leavening agents, sorbitol, salt, soy lecithin, chocolate, artificial flavor, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium. The cookies contain wheat and soy.
