Oscar Mayer is on the lookout for its next class of Wienermobile drivers, offering a unique opportunity to travel the country behind the wheel of the brand’s iconic 27-foot hot dog vehicle. The company is hiring 12 full-time “Hotdoggers” for a year-long position that combines travel, public appearances, and creative storytelling. Ideal candidates are outgoing, imaginative, friendly, and adventurous college graduates.

As Hotdoggers, drivers will act as official brand ambassadors, visiting more than 30 states and attending hundreds of events while creating content that engages fans of all ages. This marks the 39th class of Hotdoggers since the program’s inception in 1988, though the Wienermobile itself first hit U.S. roads in 1936. Applicants are generally expected to hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications or public relations, but competition is fierce, with fewer than 1% of applicants selected from thousands of hopefuls each year.

Drivers earn a base salary of $35,600, along with a $150 weekly allowance for meals and travel, totaling $7,200 annually. Benefits include 18 paid days off, comprehensive health coverage, and all hotel expenses covered during trips. Applications are open online through the Kraft Heinz careers site until January 31, 2026, with positions starting the first week of June and concluding the following June. Oscar Mayer encourages candidates to showcase creativity in their applications, whether through social media videos, scrapbooks, or other inventive projects, to stand out in the selection process.
