Season 2 of the comedy series Ted is set to premiere on Peacock on March 5.

Showrunners Seth MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan, and Brad Walsh shared a statement Thursday expressing excitement about the new episodes. They highlighted the contributions of the writers, cast, and crew, particularly the visual effects team responsible for bringing the character of Ted to life.

The showrunners described the upcoming eight-episode season as “somewhat filthy, hopefully funny, and heartfelt,” focusing on a young man, his talking teddy bear, and their chaotic family life. They also humorously suggested that fans could support the series by streaming all episodes on multiple devices at once.

MacFarlane provides the voice for the titular teddy bear, while Max Burkholder plays his best friend, John. Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach return as John’s parents, Matty and Susan. The live-action film adaptations, Ted (2012) and Ted 2 (2015), featured Mark Wahlberg in the role of John.
