SpaceX successfully landed its 550th reusable Falcon 9 booster following a late-night launch from Vandenberg Space Force Station in California on Saturday.
The mission deployed 27 Starlink V2 Mini satellites, expanding SpaceX’s low-Earth orbit broadband constellation. Liftoff occurred at 9:49 p.m. PST.
Approximately 8.5 minutes after launch, booster B1093 safely touched down on SpaceX’s drone ship Of Course I Still Love You, stationed in the Pacific Ocean. This marked the 170th landing on that drone ship and the 451st overall for SpaceX at-sea recoveries.
Saturday’s launch was the ninth flight for booster B1093, which previously supported six Starlink missions and two launches for the Space Development Agency.
