PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND – Three individuals have been charged in connection with the accidental overdoses of seven college students at a Providence, Rhode Island, house party, authorities said Sunday.
Police identified a suspect believed to have supplied narcotics to one of the overdose victims, leading to the arrests of Angel Williams, 33; Patrick Patterson, 32; and Kimsheree Simoneau, 33.
Officers reported that four students were found on the front lawn of the house, and three others were inside when emergency responders arrived. All were administered Narcan, an opioid reversal medication, before being transported to nearby hospitals. Officials confirmed that all seven students are now in stable condition.
During the investigation, police executed a search warrant at the residence, seizing three handguns, two assault-style rifles, 20 grams of fentanyl, and $1,700 in cash.
“This investigation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to stopping the deadly flow of fentanyl and illegal firearms in our community,” said Col. Oscar L. Perez. “The combined work of our Narcotics and Organized Crime Bureau ensured that dangerous drugs and weapons were removed from the streets of Providence.”
Williams faces at least nine charges, Patterson is facing seven, and Simoneau has been charged with one offense.
