Uber is making it easier for travelers to hail rides this holiday season with the introduction of physical kiosks.

The company announced plans to place kiosks at airports, hotels, ports, and other high-traffic locations in the coming months. The move is designed to help international visitors who arrive in the U.S. without a data plan, allowing them to book rides without using the Uber app.

The first kiosk will be installed at Terminal C in LaGuardia Airport. It features a touchscreen and a credit card reader, letting travelers enter their destination, select a ride type, and receive a printed receipt with trip details.

Uber previously tested a similar kiosk at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in 2019. The company said major events, such as next year’s World Cup, provide an opportunity to expand the service.

In addition to the kiosks, Uber is expanding its airport shuttle service. Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey will now offer shuttle routes to and from the West Village and 42nd Street, with multiple pick-up and drop-off points along the way. Fares for the Newark shuttle will be under $15 for a limited time.
