Salmonella infections can be serious, especially for young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. In healthy individuals, symptoms typically appear 12 to 72 hours after exposure and can include fever, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Symptoms usually last four to seven days. In rare cases, Salmonella can spread to the bloodstream, causing severe complications such as infected aneurysms, endocarditis, or arthritis.

Customers who purchased the affected products can return them to any Wegmans store for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST.
