White Castle has introduced an automated slider kiosk at Boston Logan International Airport, marking its first exclusively branded kiosk unit, the company confirmed. Developed in partnership with Just Baked, a food kiosk company, and Evolvending, which works with restaurant brands such as California Pizza Kitchen and The Cheesecake Factory, the unit is designed to serve fresh sliders within about two minutes of an order being placed. White Castle said it plans to expand its Crave & Go kiosks to other locations by the end of the year.
The kiosk offers a selection of sliders, including the 100% beef Original Slider, Classic Cheese Slider, Cheddar Bacon Cheese Slider, and Chicken & Cheese Slider. The Logan Airport unit could serve as a key introduction to the New England market, where White Castle currently has a limited presence. The high volume of travelers passing through the airport is expected to boost awareness of the brand and help pave the way for future expansion, including its first Texas location next year. White Castle has been embracing technology across its operations, testing automated fry cooks, robotic delivery, and redesigned stores featuring ordering kiosks and drive-thru AI, with the airport kiosk fitting into this tech-forward strategy. Airports provide a captive audience for brands, and automated kiosks offer a cost-efficient way to reach consumers despite some menu and volume limitations.
