White Castle is testing two new menu items — Cheddar Smoked Sausage Sliders and Pretzel Nibblers — in select locations for a limited period. The trial is taking place in Cincinnati, Louisville, Kentucky, and New Jersey, with customer feedback expected to influence whether the items will be added to the chain’s national menu.
The Cheddar Smoked Sausage Slider features a smoked sausage link infused with cheddar cheese, topped with caramelized onions, and served on a Slider bun. Pretzel Nibblers are golden-fried pretzel nuggets sprinkled with kosher salt and paired with a side of cheese sauce. These additions build on White Castle’s growing slider lineup, which includes beef, fish, chicken, and waffles, and Impossible sliders, as well as seasonal offerings like the BBQ Pulled Pork Slider. The chain is also expanding its presence, opening its first branded airport kiosk in Boston Logan International Airport this month and planning a Texas debut in 2026. A new Ohio prototype store this year introduced a redesigned interior with higher ceilings, vibrant colors, an open layout, and a mobile order pickup window to streamline in-app orders while maintaining dine-in service.
