Jets sign veteran kicker Nick Folk

The New York Jets have signed veteran kicker Nick Folk, Jets coach Aaron Glenn announced Tuesday at training camp. Folk, who spent last season with the Tennessee Titans, met with the Jets on Monday in Florham Park, New Jersey. The team also waived kicker Caden Davis, leaving Folk and Harrison Mevis as the only kickers on the roster.

Folk, 40, returns to the Jets for a second stint after playing with the team from 2010 to 2016. Over his 17-year career, he has made 84.3% of his field goals and 96.8% of his extra points in 242 games. He led the NFL in field goal percentage in 2023 and 2024, with marks of 96.7% and 95.5%, respectively. The Titans replaced Folk with Joey Slye in March. Glenn expressed confidence in Folk, saying the terms worked out and that the team is glad to have him on board. Last season, the Jets rotated through several kickers, who combined for a 71.4% field goal rate and 90.3% on extra points. The Jets will open their preseason against the Green Bay Packers on August 9 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
