A small plane crashed into a residential neighborhood near Nampa airport in Idaho on Sunday evening, killing all three people on board, local officials confirmed. The Nampa Police Department said multiple 911 calls reporting the crash were received at 5:41 p.m. The aircraft struck an outbuilding on the 200 block of North Venice Street.
Responding officers found that none of the occupants survived, but fortunately, no one on the ground was injured. Authorities are withholding the victims’ identities until families are notified. Nampa Mayor Debbie King expressed sorrow, offering thoughts and prayers to the families affected. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with the Federal Aviation Administration already at the scene and National Transportation Safety Board agents expected to arrive on Monday. The NTSB confirmed the plane involved was a Mooney M20J. This incident follows a similar small plane crash off the coast of California on Saturday that also killed three people.
