HBO Max and truTV to air 19 Savannah Bananas games through TNT sports deal

TNT Sports has reached an agreement to broadcast games featuring the popular Savannah Bananas. Beginning Aug. 16, truTV and HBO Max will air 19 of the team’s games.

TNT Sports will provide coverage from various Major League Baseball stadiums across the U.S. over eight consecutive weekends. This includes stops at Rate Field in Chicago, Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, T-Mobile Park in Seattle, PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Petco Park in San Diego, and Daikin Park in Houston. The Bananas’ home field, Grayson Stadium in Georgia, will also host a weekend series. All Banana Ball coverage by TNT Sports will be simulcast on HBO Max for U.S. viewers.

The season will conclude with the first-ever Banana Ball Championship on Oct. 11, a multi-day tournament featuring four teams competing for the title. Tournament seeding will be based on results from the World Tour games.

The Savannah Bananas have gained widespread popularity both live and on social media. Known for their bright yellow uniforms, the team combines traditional baseball with stunts, dancing, and unexpected surprises, like players catching balls while performing backflips. The team boasts over 10.5 million TikTok followers and 2.2 million YouTube subscribers. The Bananas also made their broadcast debut on The CW recently.
