Police seek suspect after man and woman found dead in Arkansas’ Devil’s Den State Park

Arkansas State Police reported that a man and a woman were discovered dead Saturday afternoon along a walking trail in Devil’s Den State Park, and authorities are now treating the case as a possible double homicide while searching for a suspect. Officers were called to the park at approximately 2:40 p.m., and the victims — a 43-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman — were taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies to determine their cause of death.

Investigators described the suspect as a white male wearing dark shorts, a dark tank top, and weight-lifting style gloves. He was reportedly last seen driving toward an exit in a black four-door sedan that may be a Mazda, with its license plate obscured by tape. Police said the vehicle might have been traveling on State Highway 170 or State Highway 220. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement saying her office is in close contact with authorities and emphasized that prayers are with the victims’ families while the search for the suspect continues.
