Tyler Boebert, the 20-year-old son of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, is facing a misdemeanor child abuse charge related to an incident involving his young son. According to records from the Windsor Police Department, the charge stems from criminal negligence, but no injury or death occurred. The citation dates back to July 11.
Lauren Boebert described the incident as a miscommunication regarding the supervision of her grandson, who managed to leave their home. She stressed that no physical harm was done and said her family has cooperated with Child Protective Services to ensure the children’s safety. Tyler, who became a father in June 2023, previously faced multiple felony charges related to vehicle break-ins and property theft in 2024. He pleaded guilty to attempted identity theft as part of a plea deal and is currently on probation.
